Ingredients
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 3/4 c. light brown sugar, packed
- 1 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 t baking soda
- 1 t. vanilla extract
- 1/2 t. salt
- 3 c. oatmeal (old fashioned or quick)
- 1 1/4 c. flour
- 1 (11 oz.) pkg. butterscotch baking chips
- chopped nuts (optional)

Step 1
1.) Preheat oven to 375.
2.) In a large mixing bowl, beat sugars and butter or margarine until creamed. Add eggs, baking soda, vanilla and salt until mixed.
3.) Slowly add oameal and flour ( do not over mix). Fold in the butterscotch chips (and nuts, if desired) until well distributed.
4.) On an ungreased cookie sheet, place rounded tablespoons of dough about 2 inches apart. 5.) Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until slightly brown.
Remove from cookie sheet and allow to cool on a wire rack to room temperature.
