ROLO CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE CUPS

Ingredients
- 1 (16.5 ounce) roll refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
- 24 Rolo candies, unwrapped
- 1/4 cup, chopped nuts, toasted

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Place pecans in a shallow pan. Bake for about 5 minutes, stirring after about 2 1/2 minutes. Remove from oven and set aside.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Use a cookie scoop to measure dough or cut dough into 12 slices & then cut the slices in half. Roll dough into balls. Place in miniature muffin pans which have been lightly sprayed with cooking spray or use small muffin cup papers. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes or until lightly browned.
Remove from oven and IMMEDIATELY place one Rolo candy in each cookie. Sprinkle tops with 1/2 teaspoon of pecans and lightly press them into the candy. Cool completely. Use a knife to loosen sides of cookies and use the tip of the knife to remove from pan.
Note: If you prefer, you can omit the toasting of the pecans. Also, you can just add them to the batter before making the dough into balls.
