- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 whole egg
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 cup miniature marshmallows
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar

Preheat the oven to 350°F.
In a medium-sized bowl, with an electric beater on medium speed, cream the butter and granulated sugar. Add 1 whole egg and 2 egg yolks; beat until well mixed. Add the flour, baking powder, and salt; mix well. Spread into a 9" x 13" baking dish that has been coated with nonstick baking spray. Sprinkle with the nuts, marshmallows, and chocolate chips.
In a medium-sized bowl, with an electric beater on medium speed, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form, then fold in the brown sugar. Spread over the top of the batter and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and allow to cool, then cut into bars and serve.
Makes 20 to 24 bars.

No miniature marshmallows on hand? Just cut regular-sized marshmallows into 6 pieces each
