  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • dash of salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 (12 ounce) package chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Combine flour, soda, and salt; set aside. In large bowl, combine butter, sugars, and vanilla; beat until creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Spread into a greased 13 x 9" baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 35 minutes. Cool; cut into bars.


Note: To make marbled bars, about 5 minutes after placing in oven, use a knife to swirl the melting chips into the batter.
