Ingredients
- bottom:
- 2 pie crusts (see separate recipe)
- 1 c. hot water
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. molasses
- 1 tsp. baking soda dissolved in 1 tbsp. vinegar
- topping:
- 2 1/2 c. hot flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 c. brown sugar

Step 1
1. prepare pie crusts, line pie dishes, but do not bake yet.
2. combine "bottom" ingredients, then pour into unbaked pie shells.
3. combine "topping" ingredients, then spoon over "bottom" ingredients.
4. bake at 425F for 15 min, then 350F until done
