- 1 c. molasses
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 c. boiling water
- 4 c. flour
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. margarine or butter

Step 1
1. combine molasses, baking powder, and boiling water and let stand.
2. mix flour, brown sugar, and butter and work into crumbs. reserve 1 1/2c. for topping.
3. add molasses mixture to remaining crumbs, mix until batter is very thin.
4. pour into greased 13x9" pan, sprinkle with remaining crumbs. bake at 350F x 45 min.
