  • 3 lb. brisket, scored
  • 2 large vidalia onions, sliced into rings
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 Lipton Onion Soup and Dip Packets
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 1 cup Heinz Chili Sauce
  • 2 cans gingerale

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Season the scored brisket with salt and pepper. Lay a bed of onions in roasting pan. Sprinkle one packet of Lipton Onion Soup and Dip Mix on top of the onions. Massage brisket generously with Heinz Chili Sauce and paprika.
Lay brisket on top of bed of onions. Layer brisket with remaining onions. Add ginger ale. Cover with parchment paper and aluminum foil so foil does not come directly into contact with meat. Cook brisket for three to four hours or until tender.
