Ingredients

    T oil

  • 1

    chopped onion

  • 1

    lb. ground beef

  • 2

    c. canned tomatoes (28 oz. can)

  • 1 1/2

    tsp. salt

  • 1/2

    c. pesto

  • 6

    oz. mozzarella cheese (grated)

  • 3/4

    lb. medium pasts shells

  • 1/4

    c. parmesan cheese (grated)

Directions

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Oil a 9z13 baking dish. Brown onion and hamburger and drain. Add tomatoes and salt to the pan and bring to a simmer. Cook until most of liquid evaporates (about 10 minutes). Remove pan from heat and stir in pesto. Meanwhile, cook shells until just done, drain and toss with the sauce. Put half of the pasta into the baking dish and top with half the mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Repeat layers. Bake until bubbling (about 15 minutes)
