Ingredients

3/4 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. molasses
1 egg
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ginger

Preparation

Step 1

Melt Crisco over low heat. Remove; cool. Add sugar, molasses and egg. Sift together flour, soda, cloves, ginger, cinnamon. Add to first mixture. Mix well; chill. Form in 1 in. balls; roll in sugar. Bake at 375 for 8-10 min.
