Ingredients

  • 2 C. sugar
  • 1 C. butter (no substitute)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 C. flour
  • 1/4 tea. soda, dissolved in water
  • 3 T. hot water
  • ●Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  • ●Beat eggs and add to sugar mixture.
  • ●Add flour and soda that has been dissolved in hot water.
  • ●Add enough flour to handle dough and allow to roll out. (Not a flake more than is necessary)
  • ●Cut in rather large rounds, about 3 in. in diameter.
  • ●Place on a buttered cooky sheet and bake in hot oven (425-450 F.) about 12 min. or until golden brown.
