Delicious, we love cole slaw, this is really good, Does taste like KFC's. Thank you for posting.
Delicious! I love this kind of "wet" cole slaw. Sweet and tangy, just the way I like it! Thank you!
Yummy! A "keeper" in my recipe collection! Thanks for posting!
YUM! This is by far the best cole slaw I've made in a long time! Tastes a LOT like the Colonels!! Easy to make. We will have this one often. Thanks for another great recipe!
This is excellent!! Thanks!
I made this recipe once with white vinegar, then another time with Tarragon vinegar. I have to say they both were tasty, but the Tarragon vinegar added an underlying taste that made it even more identical to KFCs. Great recipe nonetheless. Thanks!
I just tried this recipe and loved it! All I changed was Splenda instead of sugar - it is a perfect blend of ingredients. Many thanks!
This version is spot-on copycat of KFC's cole slaw, so, if you like sweet tangy chopped cole slaw, this is DEFINITELY the recipe to use.
pairs well with fried chicken (of course) as well as with pulled pork.
This was really good. I used pre-diced cabbage mix and pre-shredded carrots so it couldn't have been easier. I have an affinity to fast food coleslaw...and this was spot on. (I actually liked it better.) It also tasted better the longer it sat. Keeper!
We love this one taste great. We ate it with pulled pork, it was delicious.
We love this recipe...we put the slaw on bbq'd pork sandwiches!
I made two slaws today- this one which was supposed to be "just for the kids", and another slightly healthier and more savory one that the grownups could appreciate- this is the one "everybody" ate. Found that initial slices on a mandoline followed by just a few quick pulses in the processor turned out the texture we liked.
This was really good. I used Equal instead of sugar and it still tasted yummy. I also used half and half and cream in lieu of the buttermilk. It does remind me of KFC's cole slaw...however, this is probably a lot healthier!
Wow!! What a yummy coleslaw...just happened I had buttermilk in the fridge! Tangy and creamy, so good! An update, well I have made this coleslaw at least a dozen times for family get-togethers and work parties and for family dinners. It always gets rave reviews, it's just so good! Lately, I make it with all buttermilk and add some celery seed because I like the flavor. Thanks so much for posting this recipe!
This cole slaw is just like kfc but better! It is very easy to make since I buy the prepacked shreaded cabbage and carrots. Its especially good in a pulled pork sandwich. Yum! My husband ate it for almost 4 days in a row and he keeps asking me to make it again!
Thanks for the recipe!
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! I did add some apple, raisins, walnuts. Heavenly. Now this is the only recipe I use.
Finally, I found a Cole Slaw that my husband will eat. I used the pre shredded cabbage with carrots and Miracle whip instead of Mayo. Two Yums! Thanks.
I'm not a coleslaw fan but I must admit this is very good. Easy, fast and healthy. I chopped all my vegetables by hand and it did not take that long. I like the tang. After reading all the reviews I was a little concerned with the amount of sugar. But glad I stuck with the recipe, it is not too sweet. I'm tasting it right after I made it and covering to refrigerate. I'm sure it will get better. Thank you.
My wife and I love this recipe. It's a regular with fish and fries. The main change I made is that instead of buttermilk I used plain yougurt. It gives a nice tartness to balance to the sugar. Also, I adjusted the sugar to suit our taste.
What a wonderful coleslaw! I cut the recipe in half for DH and I but wish that I had made the whole batch. DH finished it for a snack in the evening. Definately will make again...thank you.
Super easy and very tasty!!! Also great for a roast beef sandwich!
This turned out great. Even impressed my mother-in-law.
Just like KFC's coleslaw! If you like the original then YOU WILL ENJOY IT!!!
Thank you for sharing this recipe, my husband loves the coleslaw from KFC and this hit the spot with him (and the rest of the family). I followed the directions exactly and it turned out great!!! Again, thanks for sharing.
A GREAT recipe! I threw away all my others. I made it as given and my mom ate 3/4 of it in one night. It's fast and easy, great flavor.
This was quite a delicious salad. For me it didnt taste like KFC but it was a fantastic coleslaw anyways. I did cut the recipe in half since we were just 2 of us. So there was still plenty of leftovers. I had used the 16-oz package of shredded cabbage and just chopped it up even more. It came to 5 cups total with the carrots.
I have been meaing to leave a review since August. This was delicous...no one could beleive that it wasnt KFC coleslaw, I didnt have buttermilk so i used 1/4c milk with a tsp of lemon juice in it and it turned out beautifully. Thanks for sharing!
Great recipe! I used the preshredded coleslaw mix from the grocery store and also used light mayo. I let it sit over night and it tasted great! Thanks!!
