  • This recipe is a sweet and simple creation that's perfect for the busy holiday season. Feel free to substitute pecans, walnuts, or even pine nuts for the macadamia nuts. You can also use blueberry pie filling in place of cherry.
  • Ingredients:
  • 21-oz. can cherry pie filling
  • 14-oz. can sweetened condensed milk
  • 20-oz. can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1-1/2 cups macadamia nuts, chopped
  • 12-oz. container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Mint leaves to garnish

Preparation

Step 1

In a large bowl, mix together pie filling, sweetened condensed milk, crushed pineapple, and 1 cup of chopped macadamia nuts. Fold in the whipped topping. Refrigerate until chilled.

Remove from the refrigerator and garnish with the remaining 1/2 cup of macadamia nuts and the lemon zest. Add a few mint leaves for additional garnish. Serve.
