- 1 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 1 1/4 teaspoon almond extract + 1 1/2 vanilla extract
- Food color, if desired

Preparation
Step 1
1. Heat oven to 375ºF. Beat butter in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed for 30 minutes. Add sugar and baking powder and beat well. Add egg, almond extract and vanilla. Beat until well combined. Beat in as much flour as possible. Stir in any remaining flour with a wooden spoon. Do Not Chill dough.
2. Pack dough into cookie press. Force dough through press onto ungreased cookie sheet. If you like decorate with decorative sugars, candies, fruits, or nuts.
3. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges cookies are firm but not brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. To decorate cookies after baking, use a drop of corn syrup to attach decorations to cookies.
