  • 1/2 CUP BUTTER/MARGARINE, SOFTENED
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • GARLIC BREAD
  • 1/2 cup butter/margarine, softened
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt or powder
  • GARLIC CHEESE BREAD
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tbsp horseradish
  • HERB BREAD
  • 1/2 cup butter/margarine
  • 2 tbsp chives
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp parsley flakes
  • 1/2 tsp thyme

Step 1

Slice a french loaf in thick slices. If you are going to wrap in foil, cut slices all the way through. If you are going to heat loaf in oven unwrapped, cut slices almost to the bottom but not through it. Have butter or margarine at room temperature before beginning. Mix the ingredients of your favorite spread together and spread on both sides of cut slices. Reshape into loaf. Wrap in foil. Heat in 350 oven for 20 minutes, or heat on barbeque. turning often, for about 15 minutes. Wrap in 2 layers of foil to heat on barbeque. Or spread mixture on top of thick slices to broil in oven. Watch carefully as they burn easily. Before broiling, bread slices can be buttered then sprinkled with flavoring ingredient.
