Ingredients
- 3 lbs. round steak, pounded well
- salt & pepper
- flour
- 4 T. butter + 1 T. oil
- 6 potatoes, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 c. beef broth

Step 1
Salt & pepper the steak, then dredge in flour. Heat the butter & oil in large skillet. Brown the steak.
In a large baking dish, arrange a layer of potatoes, then onions. Salt & pepper. Add one more layer of potatoes, then onions, and salt & pepper again. Arrange steak over the top layer of onions.
In the pan you browned the steaks in, stir in beef broth. Simmer 5 minutes, scraping the bottom of the pan. Pour the broth over the steak.
Cover and bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until steak is tender.
