Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb ground beef
  • 3/4 tsp paprika
  • 3/4 c milk
  • 2 T flour
  • 3/4 c dried bread crumbs
  • 10 1/2 oz can beef broth
  • 3 T chopped parsley
  • 1/2 tsp Worchestershire
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/2 c sour cream
  • margarine
  • cooked rice
  • 3/4 c onions
  • 1/2 lb mushrooms

Step 1

Combine ground beef, milk, bread crumbs, parsley, 1 ½ tsp salt and ¼ tsp pepper. Shape into balls; brown in 2 T margarine in 350 oven, 45 minutes. In 2 T margarine, cook onions and mushrooms with paprika until tender ( 5min). Sprinkle flour over mushroom mixture; stir. Then while stirring, slowly add beef broth, ¾ tsp salt, 1/8 tsp pepper. Return meatballs to sauce; cover; simmer 10 minutes. Stir in Worchestershire and sour cream; heat through. Serve over cooked rice.
