Ingredients
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoon water
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 2 large cloves garlic,crushed
- 2 pounds lean flank steak,cut across grain in strips
- 1/4 cup oil
- 6 medium green peppers,cut in strips
- 3 large tomatoes,cut in strips
- Hot cooked rice

Step 1
In bowl blend soy sauce,water,cornstarch,pepper,sugar,and garlic.Stir in meat.Stir in meat.In large pot or Dutch ovenheat oil.Add peppers.Stir over medium-high heat until peppers are barely crisp-tender,about 3 to 5 minutes.Stir in meat and soy-sauce mixture.Stir over medium-high heat just until meat loses red color,about 5 minutes.Stir in tomatoes,then simmer over low heat until hot and tender,about 3 minutes.Serve over rice.
