Preparation

Step 1

Place bread cubes in a 9 1/2 x 13 1/2-inch greased baking dish. Top with Swiss and Monterrey jack cheeses, ham, and green onions. Combine eggs, milk, wine, mustard, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl; beat well. Pour egg mixture over the bread cube mixture in the baking dish. Press lightly to allow liquid to absorb. Sprinkle with fresh chives. Cover with plastic wrap; transfer to refrigerator to chill 4-24 hours. Allow to return to room temperature before baking.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cover baking dish with foil; bake 40-45 minutes until puffed, and knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Let rest 10 minutes.

Combine sour cream, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper in a small saucepan. Stir over low heat until warmed.

Pour over Strata and serve.
