Ingredients

  • Frosting:
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 2 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

-Use enough water to cook with the raisins so you have 1 cup of raisin water. Bring water and raisins to a boil and let cool.

Cream margarine and sugar, add eggs, add rest of dry ingredients along with the one cup raisin water and beat a couple minutes. Add raisins and mix well.

Bake 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees.

Frosting:
Melt butter in sauce pan and add brown sugar and milk. Bring to boil and let boil 1 1/2 minutes. Remove from stove. Pour powdered sugar into mixing bowl and add melted butter mixture while beating. Add vanilla and beat until well mixed (3-4 minutes)

Watch the consistency and pour before to thick.
