Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3 cloves
  • 3 allspice
  • 2 cinnamon stick
  • 1 package fresh cranberries
  • Zest of one Orange

Step 1

1. Bring water, sugar, cloves, allspice and cinnamon to a boil in a 2 qt. saucepan. Cook, stirring until syrup is clear, about 3 minutes. Add cranberries and cook until they begin to pop, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat, add orange zest and cool. Store in refrigerator at least three days before using so the flavors can develop. makes 2 1/2 cups, each 1/4 cup serving contains 132 cals, 0 fat.
