  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1 c. water
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 2 tbsp. buttermilk
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. nut meats

Step 1

Mix together in a mixing bowl. Put on stove to boil: 1 stick, margarine, 1/2 cup oil and 1 cup water. Bring to a boil and then pour over dry mixture. Beat 2 eggs and add. Put 1 1/2 teaspoon soda in 1/2 cup buttermilk and add 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Put in cookies sheet and bakes 15-20 minutes 350 degrees. For frosting: mix 2 cup powdered sugar, 2 tablespoon cocoa and add 1/2 stick of margarine, 2 tablespoon buttermilk and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Beat real good with mixer. Add 1/2 cup nut meats. Spread on board.
