Ingredients
- Frosting:
- 1 c. water
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 c. oil
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. cocoa
- 2 1/4 cup flour
- 2 egg
- 1/4 tsp. tart
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1 stick oleo
- 1/4 c. cream
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 3 c. pd. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla

Step 1
Bring to boil 1 cup water, 1 stick oleo, and 1/2 cup oil while melting mix. 2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup cocoa and 2 1/4 cup flour, add hot temperature beat then beat separately 2 eggs add. Add 1/4 teaspoon tart and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Dissolve 1 1/2 teaspoon soda in 1/2 cup buttermilk. Add, frosting: make dirty bowl. Bring to a boil 1 stick oleo, 1/4 cup cream and 1/2 cup buttermilk then add, 3 cup powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Enough for 2 cakes. Store till kept cake. Bake 25 minutes in jelly roll at 350 degrees.
