Ingredients

    tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1

    tablespoon bourbon

  • 1 1/2

    teaspoons cornstarch

  • 1/2

    teaspoon salt

  • pinch of pepper

  • 2

    chicken breasts, skinned, cut in small pieces

  • 4

    tablespoons vegetable oil

  • 3

    cloves garlic, chopped (or garlic powder)

  • 5

    green onions cut in 1/2 inch pieces

  • ginger root grated to taste (1/8 teaspoon)

  • 1

    tablespoon soy sauce

  • 1

    tablespoon cornstarch

  • 2

    tablespoons water

  • 2

    teaspoons sugar

  • 3/4

    cup cashews

Directions

Combine first 5 ingredients (soy sauce, bourbon, cornstarch, salt, pepper), marinate chicken in it for at least 20 minutes. Heat 2 tablespoons oil, add next 3 ingredients (garlic, green onions, ginger), sauté for 1 minute. Add chicken, stir fry for 2-5 minutes or until done. Remove to plate. Add 2 tablespoons oil, broccoli, stir fry for 2 minutes. Return chicken to pass and toss. Combine all other ingredients (soy sauce, cornstarch, water, sugar, cashews) and heat thoroughly.
