Ingredients

  • Praline layer:
  • 4 c. peeled, sliced ripe peaches
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 tbsp. tapioca
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. chopped pecans
  • 1/4 c. butter- cold
  • 19 inch unbaked pie shell

Step 1

Combine peaches, sugar, tapioca and lemon juice in large bowl. Let stand 15 minutes. Combine flour, brown sugar and pecans in small bowl; cut in butter with fork till mixture is crumbly. (Makes 1 1/3 cups).

Sprinkle 1/3 of praline mixture over bottom of pie shell; cover with peach mixture. Sprinkle remaining praline mixture over peaches. Allowing peach mixture to show, if desired. Bake 450 for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 and bake for 20 minutes longer or till peaches are tender and topping is golden brown.
