Ingredients
- 1 (3 to 4 lb.) beef roast
- 1/2 c. soy sauce
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 tsp. Kitchen Bouquet browning sauce
- 1/2 pkg. dry onion soup mix
- 5 c. water
- 1 lg. onion, cut in slices
- 1/4 c. butter
- French rolls
- grated Swiss cheese (opt)

Preparation
Step 1
Lightly brown onion in butter. Combine soy sauce, garlic, browning sauce, soup mix and water. Place roast in crock pot. Add soy sauce mixture and onions. Cover tightly and bake 5-6 hours on medium. Remove roast from pan and allow to stand 20 minutes. Slice roast thinly and put meat back into juice. Toast rolls under broiler. Place hot beef slices on bread. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Broil until cheese melts. Use liquid for sandwich dip.
