Ingredients
- Topping:
- 4 c. chopped apples
- 2 c. white sugar
- 2 c. flour
- 2 eggs
- 3 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 1 c. water
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation
Step 1
Mix apples, sugar and eggs. Add dry ingredients. Put in 9 X 13 pan. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
For topping: put sugars, water and flour in a saucepan and cook until thick and bubbly. Boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. While cake is warm, poke holes over cake with a fork and pour topping over cake.
Refrigerate until cool. Serve with whipped topping or ice cream.
