Red wine & Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup minced onion
- 1 tbs minced garlic
- 1 tbs vegetable oil
- 2 cups dry red wine
- 1/2 cup mixed dried mushrooms
- 1 cup ketchup
- 4 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp prepared horseradish
- salt and pepper to taste

Preparation
Step 1
Sweat onion and garlic in oil in a saucepan over medium heat until onion softens, 4 minutes.
Add wine and mushrooms. Increase heat to high; reduce wine to 1 cup, 5-6 minutes.
Strain wine mixture into a bowl pressing o remove all liquid. Mince mushrooms and return to saucepan with wine mixture.
Whisk ketchup and worcestershire into wine mixture and simmer 10 minutes.
Off heat, add horseradish and season with salt and pepper.
