Truffled Mushroom Crostini

Ingredients
- 1 baguette, sliced 1/2" thick
- 1 clove garlic, peeled and smashed with back of knife
- 1/2 cup fresh shiitake mushrooms or crimini, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup shallots, minced (from 2 medium shallots)
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup white truffle oil
- 1/2 cup crème fraîche
- 2 tablespoons fresh chives, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste

Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Slice bread diagonally, slices 1/2" thick. Brush with truffle oil and rub with garlic. Bake the crostini slices in the oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
While the bread is baking, heat olive oil and butter in skillet. Saute mushrooms for 1 minute. Add shallots and saute for 2 minutes. Season with pepper and salt.
Spoon mushrooms over the slices. Mix truffle oil with creme fraiche. Drizzle mushrooms with creme fraiche. Mince the chives. Sprinkle chives over the mushrooms.
