Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked pastry shell
  • 1 can pumpkin
  • 3 eggs slightly beaten
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice or 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp cloves, 1/4 tsp nutmeg, 1/4 tsp ginger
  • 1 c. evaporated milk
  • 2 T. dark Karo syrup

Step 1

Prepare a one crust pie shell. Combine eggs, sugar, salt, syrup and spices and beat well. Blend in pumpkin. Add milk and beat well. Turn into pastry lined pie pan. Bake in a hot oven 450 degrees for 10 minutes, then reduce heat and bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Pie is done when knife, inserted in center, comes out clean. Top it all with whipped cream.
