  • Pineapple Filling:
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 1/2 c. cake flour
  • 2 tsp. bk. powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 4 egg whites
  • cream butter and 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. crushed pineapple
  • 4 egg yolks beaten
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice

Step 1

Till like whipped cream add flour, salt, baking powder which has been sifted together 3 times attending flour and water till all is used. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat egg whites till stiff add 3/4 cup sugar beat fold together. Bake 350 degrees 30 minutes. Heat pineapple in dbl. boiler add yolk carefully till thick. Add sugar and lemon juice.
