Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb butter or margarine
  • 1 c sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 c flour
  • 1 ttsp ntmeg
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 c milk
  • Add a little whiskey

Preparation

Step 1

Cream shortening

Add sugar gradually

Add well beaten eggs.

Mix dry ingredients and all alternately with milk to first mixture.

Roll thin and cut into pieces e inches long by two inches wide.

Slit in middle to fold through to bake a bow.

Fry in deep fat at 374 degrees until golden brown.

Drain on paper and sprinkle with powder sugar.
