This bread is delicious. I made it as written in my breadmaker. I wish it was a tad less dense and a bit softer.
I frequently add flax to this recipe. My husband raises flax and has raised canola. We also have bee hives on our property from local beekeepers. Thanks for the comments.
This is a great recipe. I have 3 books, and have tried a lot. I make this with the medium crust, 2 pounds. Each time with this recipe I add flax seed and slivered almonds, or toasted pumpkin seeds. This is so good. Hooked.
We love this recipe and have made it several times! We prefer the light setting on our bread machine. Either way is great, though.
This is FABULOUS! The only changes to make to the recipe are to choose the medium or dark crust color, the light was really soft; and make sure to use the "whole wheat" setting instead of basic, if you have it. Ours was just a little undercooked, but tasted great!
