Butterscotch Bread

Ingredients

  • 4

    cups all-purpose flour

  • 2

    cups firmly packed brown sugar

  • 2

    Eggs

  • 3

    tablespoons Butter, melted

  • 1 1/2

    teaspoons baking powder

  • 1

    teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2

    teaspoon salt

  • 1

    cup golden raisins or chopped nuts

Directions

Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottoms only of two 9x5-inch loaf pans. Set aside. Combine all ingredients except raisins in bowl; beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed. Stir in raisins. Spoon batter evenly into prepared loaf pans. Bake 40-50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 10 minutes. Remove from pans. Cool completely.
