APPLE CAKE (Shirley Gipe)

Ingredients

• 1 c oil
• 2 c flour
• 1 3/4 c sugar
• 3/4 tsp baking soda
• 3 eggs
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 3 T vanilla
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 5-6 apples, peeled and chopped
• 1 c black walnuts, broken in good size pieces

Preparation

Step 1

Blend oil and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift together flour, soda, salt & cinnamon and add to egg mixture. Stir in apples and nuts. Bake in greased pan: 9x13 350, 1 hour tube pan, 300, 1 ½ hours
