Tomato Chicken Pasta

My regular "go-to" recipe for Chicken with the white wine sauce & pasta.

Ingredients
- 1 9-oz. package fettucine
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 2 t. olive oil
- 1/2 c. finely chopped onions
- 1 lb. chicken breast tenders, cut into bite size pieces
- 1/2 c. dry white wine
- 1/3 c. whipping cream
- 1/2 c. fresh basil (less if using dried)
- 1/4 c. (1 oz.) fresh parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1/4 t. black pepper

Preparation
Step 1
Cook pasta according to package directions & drain.
Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet coated with cooking spray over medium-high heat. Add onions and chicken, saute 5 minutes. Reduce heat to medium and stir in white wine and cream. Cook 3 more minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain canned tomatoes and add to skillet.
When ready to serve, stir in basil, cheese, salt & pepper. Toss in fettucine and mix well.
