Ingredients
- 1 (15 1/2 oz.) cans great northern beans, rinsed and drained.
- 2 medium carrots, diced
- 1 small onion chopped
- 2 small stalks celery diced
- 2 Tbsp.butter
- 2 1/4 cups chicken broth
- 1 1/2 cups cubed fully cooked ham
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 bay leaf

Step 1
Mash one can of beans, set aside. In a large pan, steam carrots and celery. Saute ham and onion in pan. In large soup pot stir in broth, ham, seasonings and mashed beans. Cook over medium heat until heated through. Discard bay leaf before serving. Makes about 4 servings. I would double the recipe...
