Quick Turkey Loaf

Ingredients
- 1 large egg
- 1/3 c. ketchup
- 1 1/2 tsp. seasoning salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1 small onion, cut into chunks
- 1 large carrot, cut into chunks
- 1 large celery rib, cut into chunks
- 1 1/2 lb. lean ground turkey (or chicken)
- 2/3 c. large flake rolled oats (old-fashioned)

Step 1
Place the oven rack in the center position. Turn the oven on to 350 degrees. Grease the loaf pan. Combine the egg, ketchup, seasoning salt and pepper in the blender Place the lid on the blender. Process until smooth. While the blender is processing, gradually add the onion, carrot and celery, a few pieces at a time, through the opening in the lid. Process until almost smooth. There will be some very small chunks of vegetable remaining.
Put the ground turkey into the bowl. Add the vegetable mixture. Stir well with the mixing spoon. Stir in the rolled oats. Let stand for 10 minutes. Pack into the loaf pan. Bake in the oven for 1 1/4 hours. Remove the pan to a wire rack and let stand for 5 minutes. Slice and serve.
