  • 4-4 1/2 lbs short ribs
  • 1/4 c green onion
  • 1/4 c tamari or so sauce
  • 1/4 c beef broth
  • 1 t packed brown sugar
  • 2 tsp minced fresh ginger
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp asian sesame oil
  • 2 tsp toasted sesame seeds
  • hot cooked rice

Cooking time 420mins


Step 1

1) place ribs in slow cooker. combine ingredients from onion thru pepper in md bowl. mix well and pour over ribs. cover and cook on low 7-8 hours or high 3-4 hours or til ribs are fork tender.

2) remove ribs from cooking liquid, cool slightly. trim and discard fat. cut ribs into bite sized pieces discarding bones.

3) let cooking liquid stand 5 minutes so fat rises, skim and discard fat

4) stir sesame oil into liquid. return beef to slow cooker. cover and cook low 15- 30 minutes or tilhot. serve over rice garnished with seeds
