Ingredients

  • 2 sweet yellow onions, chopped
  • 2 green peppers, chopped
  • 3-4 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 2 cans red kidney beans, 1 drained and 1 not drained
  • 2 cans black beans, 1 drained and 1 not drained
  • 2 cans white kidney beans, 1 drained and 1 not drained
  • 3 cans fire-roasted diced tomatoes, not drained
  • 1 large can chopped green chilies, not drained
  • 2-3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • onion powder
  • garlic powder
  • black pepper
  • chili powder
  • cumin
  • canola oil

Preparation

Step 1

Heat canola oil on high heat. Add onions, green peppers, and garlic. Cook until tender, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to medium-high. Add 3-4 tablespoons chili powder; cook for another 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add tomato paste; cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Reduce heat to medium. Add tomatoes, beans, and green chilies. Add spices as desired, along with additional chili powder to taste. Add Worcestershire sauce. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer until ready to serve.
