Ingredients
- 3 oz cream cheese, softened, at room temperature
- 1 c. butter, softened, at room temperature
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 large egg yolk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 2 1/2 c. flour sifted with 1/2 tsp salt
- Red and green sugars (for toppings)

Preparation
Step 1
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees
2. Cream together cream cheese and butter. Add sugar and mix well. Add egg yolk and vanilla and mix well.
3. Gradually add sifted flour-salt mixture. Roll into small balls, place on buttered cookie sheet and flatten with bottom of a glass. Sprinkle with colored sugar.
4. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until edges are slightly brown. Cool on wire rack. Store in airtight container.
