- 2 large grapefruit

Step 1
Remove the peel from the fruit. Place in a medium saucepan. Cover with water and bring to a boil. Cook uncovered over medium heat until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain. remove the white membrane by gently scraping with a spoon. Cut into 1/4" wide strips.
In a medium sauce pan, combine 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar and spices. Bring to a boil stirring until sugar is dissoved. Add peel and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until most of the syrup is absorbed. Drain well. Remove spices. Toss peel in 3/4 cup sugar until coated.
