Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne
  • 5 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 jars salsa, 16 oz each
  • 1 can refried beans, 15 oz
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 2 cups plus 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Step 1

1. Brown beef in medium skillet. Drain off grease, and add the salt, chili powder, cayenne and garlic. Cook for 2 more minutes.

2. In your slow cooker, mix beef mixture with salsa, refried beans, sour cream and 2 cups of the cheddar cheese. Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours.

3. Fifteen minutes before serving, sprinkle remaining cheese on top. Keep cover off and continue cooking on low to keep the bean dip warm. Serve with tortilla chips.
