Ingredients
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 2 - 16 oz cans kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 - 14 1/2 oz can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 - 8 oz can tomato sauce
- 2 onions,chopped
- 1 green bell pepper,chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- cayenne pepper to taste (1/4 tsp used)
- shredded chedder cheese
- Kathy uses twice the amount of burger, changes the beans up for black beans and adds corn.

Step 1
Cook ground beef in a skillet until browned, drain off fat.
Pour into a slow cooker.
Add the next nine ingredients.
Cover and cook for 6 to 8 hours on low.
Ladle chili into individual bowls and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
