- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup butter, chilled and chopped
- 1 pkg white cake mix
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 3 egg whites
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 4 tsp lemon juice
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- Powdered sugar for garnish

Step 1
1. Mix flour and powdered sugar in a medium bowl. Drizzle with vanilla and add the butter. Mix with hands to the consistency of crumbs; do not press mixture together.
2. Mix the cake mix, water, oil and egg whites in a bowl. Prepare using the cake mix directions. Spoon into a greased 10" cake pan or springform pan. Bake at 350F for 40-45 mins or until the cake tests done. Cool in pan for several minutes. Remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
3. Mean while, make lemon cream by beating cream cheese and powdered sugar in large mixing bowl until smooth. Mix in the lemon juice. Whip cream at high speed in mixing bowl until firm peaks form. Fold into the cream cheese mixture.
4. Cut the cake into halves horizontally. Put the bottom half on a cake plate. Spread with 1/2 cup of the lemon cream. Replace top half and spread remaining lemon cream over the top and side of the cake. Sprinkle crumb topping over the top of the cake and press over the side. Chill for 3 hours or longer. Cut into 12 slices and garnish the slices with powdered sugar.
