Ingredients
- 1 box (18.25 oz) devil's food cake mix with pudding in the mix
- 1 1/3 cups water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 container (12 oz) fluffy white whipped ready-to-spread frosting
- 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 4 drops green food color
- 24 thin rectangular crème de menthe chocolate candies, unwrapped, each cut in half crosswise

Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 350°F. Make cake mix into cupcakes as directed on box using water, oil and eggs. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.
In small bowl, reserve 1/2 cup frosting for garnish. Into remaining frosting, stir peppermint extract and food color until well blended. Frost cupcakes with green frosting.
In place of candy mints, garnish these cupcakes with candy-coated chocolate candies.
