- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder

Preparation
Step 1
cream butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla
sift flour, baking powder, and salt
add to cream mixture
mix well
chill at least one hour
roll out 1/8 inch thick
cut into desired shapes
place on ungreased cookie sheet
sprinkle with sugar
bake until golden brown 6 to 8 minutes
