CINNAMON SHORTBREAD HEARTS (Joe Kling)

Ingredients

• 1 c flour
• 1/2 c brown sugar
• 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
• 1 egg yolk
• pinch of salt
• 2 T sugar
• 8 T soft butter, cut in 10 pieces

Preparation

Step 1

Measure flour, cinnamon and salt into food processor and blend. Remove. In bowl, blend butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg yolk. Blend. Add flour. Blend. Chill for at least 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 350. Roll out dough. Cut with heart cutter and place on baking sheets. Sprinkle with granulated sugar. Bake 7-8 minutes on greased pans.
