Grandma Dally's Strawberry Shortcake

Biscuit style sortcake - not sweet. Very good. Recipe from 1847 ish.

Ingredients
- 2 T butter
- 2 T sugar
- 1 egg
- pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 t baking powder
- 2 level cups flour (not packed too hard)

Preparation
Step 1
Mix together lightly and roll out (about 1"thick) and cut with ring of quart jar. Put on greased baking sheet and bake 1/2 hour in 350F oven. Split while warm, butter and cover until ready to eat. Pile sliced, sugared strawberries on the bottom part, put the top on, spoon more berries on and add whipped cream.
