Ingredients
- 2 pounds beef round steak (1 inch thick)
- 3 tbs. flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 tbs. vegetable oil
- 2 medium onions, sliced
- 2 celery ribs, chopped
- 1 can (14 1/2 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained with liguid, cut up
- 2 tbs. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 tsp. dried oregano
- Hot cooked noodles, optional

Preparation
Step 1
Cut meat into serving-size pieces and dredge in flour. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. In a skillet or Dutch oven, brown meat on both sides in oil. Top with the celery and onions.
In a medium bowl, combine tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce and oregano; spoon over vegetables. Cover and simmer for l 1/2 to 2 hours or until meat is tender. Serve over noodles if desired.
