Hushpuppies

Ingredients

• 1/2 c. flour
• 1 1/2 c. cornmeal
• 3 t. baking powder
• 1 beaten egg
• 1 T. sugar
• 3/4 c. milk
• 1/2 t. salt
• 1 small onion, grated

Preparation

Step 1

Mix dry ingredients.

Add egg, milk & onion.

Drop by tablespoons into hot oil.

Fry till brown & cooked through.

Makes about 2 dozen.
